Collective Rights
Changes to collective rights under the Employment Rights Bill will bring about the most radical reforms to the industrial relations landscape since 1971. It will bring change to union recognition processes, as well as significantly extending union protections around industrial action and making it easier for unions to take industrial action. Changes to the collective consultation regime for redundancy will mean that full collective consultation is required more often, and the ban on ‘fire and rehire’ will cause employers to consider even more carefully how to effect changes to contracts of employment.
