Section 65 comes into force on the day Act is passed.

Repeals minimum service levels provisions

Q4 2025

TBC September

Sections affecting TUs and Industrial Action come into force two months after Act is passed.

  • Reduces information requirements to be provided to members for strike ballot
  • Reduces the notice the TU must give the employer of industrial action from 14 to 7 days
  • Repeals additional requirements re. picketing supervision

Unfair Dismissal day one provisions not in force before Autumn 2026. A day one right to protection from unfair dismissal (while allowing statutory probation periods with a ‘lighter-touch’ dismissal process)
